Explore our premium rack-mount power distribution units engineered specifically for classroom charging carts, secure lockers, and digital learning environments.
In the contemporary educational landscape, digital learning has transitioned from a progressive luxury to a foundational standard. Schools worldwide have adopted one-to-one (1:1) device programs, equipping students with Chromebooks, iPads, tablets, and laptops. While this digital leap has revolutionized pedagogy, it has introduced a complex logistical challenge for educational IT administrators: how to securely store, organize, and simultaneously charge dozens of devices within a single classroom.
This is where a specialized rack mount plug strip for classroom digital device secure storage and charging becomes an indispensable piece of infrastructure. Unlike standard household power strips, these heavy-duty, rack-mountable power distribution units (PDUs) are engineered to fit inside secure charging carts, wall-mounted storage cabinets, and IT racks. They deliver reliable power, prevent electrical hazards, and support the structured environment needed to keep hundreds of student devices ready for daily learning.
The commercial market for classroom charging carts and secure storage cabinets is experiencing exponential growth. Industry statistics indicate that the global smart classroom market size is projected to reach tens of billions of dollars over the next decade, with device management infrastructure representing a substantial segment.
Historically, classrooms relied on basic power strips taped to the inside of wooden cabinets. Today, industrial manufacturers specialize in precision sheet metal fabrication and advanced electrical engineering to build secure, steel-reinforced charging trolleys and wall-mounted lockers. At the core of these systems lies the rack mount plug strip. These units must be highly durable, compact (often utilizing 1U horizontal or 0U vertical form factors), and capable of handling high-amperage loads without generating excessive heat.
As schools scale up their digital infrastructure, the demand for "Smart" PDUs has surged. Modern rack mount plug strips for classroom storage are no longer just passive copper outlets. Key trends shaping the industry include:
Automatically detects connected devices and allocates power based on charge status, preventing battery degradation and saving energy.
Enables IT administrators to monitor power consumption, schedule on/off times, and reboot outlets remotely via network protocols.
Features integrated surge protection, overload circuit breakers, and fire-resistant metal casings designed to withstand heavy daily use.
Welcome To Learn About Our Company
Established in 2011, is a professional manufacturer of PDUs (power distribution units), power distribution peripherals and sheet metal processing, specializing in the R&D, production and sales services. After years of continuous development, the factory now covers an area of 18,000 square meters and employs 250 people. The company always insists on "quality-oriented, innovation-driven" as the development tenet, which passed the ISO9001:2015 quality system certification in 2016. We were awarded the 2020 Guangdong province contract-observing and trust-worthy enterprise, the 2021 national high-tech enterprise and the 2022 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises.
The company operates three specialized business departments to support diversified development.
The PDU department, which has long been dedicated to the R&D and production of PDUs for IDC (internet data center). Since 2015, we have set up a R&D center and an independent electrical laboratory to meet various complex product experimental tests. Our R&D team consists of a number of senior engineers in hardware, software and mechanics, which develop common PDUs and intelligent PDUs to meet different market and customer needs. As so far, we have obtained two invention patents, nine utility model patents, seven appearance patents and four software copyrights.
The Sheet metal department, which specializes in the sheet metal processing of PDU metal housings, server chassis and power supply chassis.
The Smart household appliance department, which focuses on the R&D, design, production and sales of intelligent home appliances, and is committed to creating a safe, convenient and comfortable future living space for users.
Mobile charging carts are the workhorses of elementary and secondary school classrooms. They allow a single set of tablets or laptops to be shared across multiple classrooms. The interior of these carts is a dense environment containing up to 30 or 40 individual AC adapters.
Without a high-quality rack mount plug strip, cable management becomes chaotic, and the risk of localized overheating increases. Our custom sheet metal housings and PDU configurations allow integration of slim, vertical (0U) or horizontal (1U) plug strips directly into the cart's frame. This ensures that power cables are kept short, organized, and away from student access points, while internal cooling fans can circulate air efficiently.
In high schools and universities, students often manage their own devices but need a secure place to charge them during lunch breaks, physical education, or exams. Secure wall-mounted lockers with individually keyed or digital lock compartments are the standard solution.
Inside these lockers, a centralized rack mount plug strip routes power to each individual compartment. In this scenario, safety is paramount. The plug strip must feature individual overload protection and ground-fault protection (GFCI) to prevent any electrical faults from reaching the user or damaging expensive personal devices.
STEM, makerspaces, and robotics labs present unique power challenges. These classrooms utilize high-draw equipment, including 3D printers, soldering stations, desktop computers, and heavy-duty battery chargers for robotics kits.
A standard consumer power strip will quickly trip under these loads. An industrial-grade rack mount PDU, featuring high-amperage capacity (such as 32A variants) and robust sheet metal housing, provides the necessary power overhead. It allows students to safely operate multiple high-draw devices simultaneously without disrupting the school’s electrical panel.
Take a virtual tour of our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. With 18,000 square meters of production space, we control every step of the process from sheet metal fabrication to final electrical assembly and testing.

When deploying power solutions in schools, safety cannot be compromised. Children and young adults interact with these charging environments daily. Therefore, every rack mount plug strip we produce undergoes rigorous testing and conforms to strict international engineering standards.
When dozens of devices are plugged in simultaneously, they draw a massive amount of initial inrush current. Without proper management, this can lead to tripped circuit breakers or electrical fires. Our PDUs are equipped with electromagnetic circuit breakers that respond instantly to over-current situations. Furthermore, integrated surge protection safeguards sensitive digital equipment from voltage spikes caused by lightning or grid instability.
Classroom storage carts are often enclosed steel structures. When 30 laptops charge at the same time, their power blocks generate substantial heat. Our sheet metal department designs specialized aluminum and steel alloys for the PDU housings that offer superior thermal conductivity. This design allows heat to dissipate quickly from the power strip, keeping the internal cart temperature well within safe operating limits.
We will continue to adhere to the values of "pragmatism, innovation and unity, full participation and continuous improvement", as well as the development concept of "always thinking of the customer". We will follow the strict quality management that all products should be 100% tested for polarity, insulation resistance, high-voltage test, functional test, aging test and etc., which satisfy the requirements of different standards such as CCC, CB, ROHS, CE, VDE, GS, UL, ETL, etc.
